Hoping for some help here. When I purchased my rzr xp900 earlier this year, the dealer told me it doesn't like to go anywhere until it is at 120 degrees. This has happened now on three occassion. The first two times it was no big deal once it warmed up it was fine. What happens is a trouble light comes on the instrument cluster and the engine cuts out and the rzr will barely go. The last time it happened, I was competing in some mud bogs and after they were over and my machine had been sitting for a while, I went to start it and despite it warming up to 160 degrees it was still not wanting to go and cutting out. I had to winch it up on the trailer. When I took it home and hosed it off all was well. So I am guessing I have an exposed wire, or mud is getting somewhere it doesn't like but I dont' know where to look. Any ideas?

Thanks

Mine has done the same since new but it is something to do with the TPS down by the gas pedal. It only does it when it is cold on mine (only 320 miles on it so far). But i have had pretty good luck by pumping the pedal a few times when its off and reaching down and jiggling the wires around. BS in my mind that this needs to be done but it has been working for me.

I went to jiggle mine to move it for prepping it on a ride and as I was jiggling the wire loom came off in to my hands. The wires broke off right at the sensor. After doing research on here, I found out that putting a 2.2k ohm resistor and a 4.7k ohm resistor in line, you can by pass the sensor. Since this happened to me the night of the 3rd, no dealer around me would be open for the 4th of july so I tried it out. So, with the resistors wired in and taped up I put about 130 flawless miles on the next day. Now I think the wire was originally cracked from day one.

get the dealer to replace the sensor on the gas pedal.
